District Joins Stay in the Game! Attendance Network

Starting with the 2024-25 school year, the district is partnering with the Cleveland Browns Stay in the Game! Attendance Network in an effort to increase regular student attendance!

Launched in 2019 by the Cleveland Browns Foundation, Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and Harvard's Proving Ground, the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network aims to prioritize student attendance by connecting families to resources aimed at tackling chronic absenteeism. According to the SITG initiative, consistent school attendance is the foundation for student success. Even missing a few days can have a lasting impact on learning.

As part of the network, the Browns have provided the district with several giveaway items to use as prizes for those who meet attendance goals. In addition, the organization also sent team mascot Chomps to greet students on the first day of school and provided a Kick-off Kid game package that was raffled off at the summer car show. "We are excited to be part of the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network this year and utilize their resources to help promote the importance of regular attendance at school," says district Community Liaison Sabbrina Landers. "We know that when students attend school consistently they see more success in the classroom, and in life. We're committed to working with our families to ensure every student has the support they need to attend school regularly so they can reach their full potential."
